Nationalsprachliche Besonderheiten von wissenschaftlichen Texten – Überlegungen zu einem Forschungsprojekt

In this article it is argued that languages of smaller speech communities allow for more implicitness in academic style than do languages of larger speech communities. This hypothesis is being tested on a text in Slovene and a parallel one in English. It is also argued that the topic of the text is relevant for the degree of implicitness.
